Family papers, 1843-1969.

Papers, obituaries, eulogy, biographical data, newspaper clippings, correspondence, articles, photographs and albums, and poetry. An 1850 holograph letter addressed Dr. Liniol Fletcher is interesting chiefly because "stamp and sealing wax" form one piece, paper and envelope, in use in the United States during that period. There is also a photocopy of a typescript article about the Civil War entitled "She differs with cade shackleford", holograph biographical data about the Archer family and several articles about Tallahassee history during that time period. The collection also contains a group picture, undated, identified by a note written by Teresa Yaeger Palmer as "the Lewis home where Geo. & Sarale Lewis live - I understand the picture with write up are at the Walker Library." This item is housed in the Photographic Archives. There are two small photograph albums in the collection, as well as a photograph of D.M. (David) Cook and a newspaper clipping from the Florida Times Union, Jacksonville, dated October 23, 1969. Each of these last four items are labeled "Property of Carita Corse given to Allen Morris."
